In pursuit of my Bachelor's degree in History, I learned how to thoroughly research any given topic. I utilized that information to design and develop training materials without realizing that was what I was doing! That came in handy while as a park ranger at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park where I created my own historical tour of the park.
I also hold two Master's degrees. My first Masters is in Education, from which I learned how to address diverse learning needs. As I began working with digital course development, this converted to UX application.
My second Master's degree is in Training and Development from NC State. (Go Pack!) I also earned a Master's Certificate in Instructional Design. There, I learned the basics of ADDIE, SAM, and maintenance.
Through my membership with ATD, I learned from leaders within the instructional design space. I learned performance consulting skills from Dana Robinson. I learned about harnessing the power of AI with Josh Cavalier. ATD has provided so many valuable trainings throughout the years on a wide variety of topics.
My educational journey has shaped my passion for helping others achieve their goals.
